Congrats are in order for rapper Pusha T and Virginia Joy Williams! The couple was married this Saturday, July 21st, in Virginia Beach, and Brides has the inside scoop on all of the wedding details, wedding photos, and their star-studded guest list including best man Pharrell Williams, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West.

Rapper and music executive—he’s president of Kanye’s G.O.O.D. label—Terrence LeVarr Thornton (AKA Pusha T) married Virginia Williams in front of around 150 of their closest friends and family this Saturday—including Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Grimes, and Pharrell Williams. The couple said their “I dos” in their hometown of Virginia Beach at the historic Cavalier Hotel.

The wedding date itself carried some serious meaning for the couple, who became engaged on the same date (July 21st) two years earlier, after dating for 11 years—"I saw her from across the room at Hell Hath No Fury album release party in her hometown of Norfolk, Va. The rest was history!" the groom told Brides. “For whatever reason I see the number 721 almost everyday in crazy places. On 7/21/16 Terrence had me believing he was in LA, but popped up at our home in Bethesda,” Virginia told us of their romantic engagement. “He told me to meet him on our rooftop terrace...when I did he was on one knee and asked me to marry him at 7:21 pm! I said yes!” Destiny! During his best man speech, Pharrell also addressed the importance of the wedding date for the couple.

Choosing a wedding destination turned out to be easy for the couple. After considering venues in New York and Washington, D.C., Pusha and Virginia decided to keep their wedding local in their hometown of Virginia Beach, so that their closest family and friends would be able to attend. “We also wanted to show off Virginia Beach to friends who are coming from afar and have added Virginia flare in the details of the wedding day,” Williams told Brides. The Cavalier Hotel served as the backdrop for the couple’s nuptials—chosen for its rich history, and beautifully done recent renovation.

When it came time to decide on a gown, Virginia was surprised to find out that her original vision of the perfect wedding dress was not what she wound up with. She ended up with two gorgeous wedding dresses, one for the ceremony, and one for the reception, that were total opposites. “One is me coming out my box and the other says ‘Virginia,’” she told Brides. For the ceremony, Virginia walked down the aisle in a floral embroidered romantic Marchesa gown featuring a deep v-neckline. For dancing at the reception it was a minimalistic strapless Reem Acra gown, with slight illusion at the bust and sides—the perfect choice to compliment the modern wedding décor. Adding to the look was a flower crown by florist Darling & Daughters.

The groom’s suit also had to stun, of course, and he did just that in a custom Dior suit designed by Kim Jones himself. The groomsmen were also outfitted in custom Dior, while the bridesmaids rocked the white dress trend in Katie May Collection.

“Fancy, but not uptight,” is how the bride described her wedding’s aesthetic. Keeping a neutral tone in various shades of white, nude, grey, smoke, and ivory, as well as marble accents, the couple set out to create an elegant, modern, environment that still overflowed in elegance. Starting with the greenery crawling up the columns of the ceremony space, the wedding’s floral design conveyed an organic sensibility mixed with their modern sensibility. Simple vases covered in lush white blooms, like garden roses, ranunculus, and lilies, mixed with greenery to achieve that balance throughout the wedding day. The bride's father also lent his own collection of vintage cars to decorate the site's entrance as guests came in.

Officiated by Pusha T’s brother, Gene “No Malice” Thornton, the intimate ceremony took place on the hotel’s Grand Loggia overlooking the ocean. The couple's wedding planner, Victoria Holland, set up a runway style aisle, where the couple could meet in the middle to say their vows, to represent their solid partnership, and combining their two lives in the middle. The altar was lined with greenery and the lacquered altar was surrounded by candles and mirrored and gold cubes to create a romantic atmosphere. To dry their happy tears, guests were treated to beautiful custom handkerchiefs with Pusha T and Virginia’s new monogram embroidered.

After saying “I do,” Pusha and Virginia danced their first dance as husband and wife to Curtis Mayfield’s “Makings of You.” The couple wanted to make sure their guests got out on the diamond-shaped marble dance floor so they outfitted the whole party in custom Adidas slides. Surprise performances had to be in effect at such a music heavy wedding, with the groom himself, and rapper Fabulous, stepping up to the mic to take on performer duties. DJ Clark Kent kicked things off with a tribute to Virginia’s musicians, and kept the party going until 1am.

Guests dined on a menu of lobster, lamb and short rib while a cigar roller camped out on the patio for guests to enjoy alongside the signature Cognac bar. Towards the end of the night a dessert room was unveiled, featuring a selection of mini desserts and a beautiful wedding cake, on golden shelves. As a final treat, guests were treated to a final late night send off snack, courtesy of Feather & Fin Food Truck—one of the couple’s favorite local eateries.
